Contractual terms, privacy policy, and refund policy
This document governs the use of Veridic services, personal data processing, and refund terms applicable to paid subscriptions and storage add-ons. It is designed to meet professional standards of contractual transparency.
1. Terms of use and sale
1.1 Purpose. These terms define the rights and obligations between Veridic and any professional or individual user subscribing to a paid plan on veridic.art.
1.2 Services provided. Veridic provides a SaaS service for cryptographic fingerprinting (hash), blockchain timestamping, digital certificate generation, and associated proof verification.
1.3 No freemium. No free offering is available. Access to operational features requires an active monthly or annual subscription.
1.4 Subscription and payment. Payments are processed by Paddle (Merchant of Record). Users guarantee accurate billing information and authorization to use the payment method.
1.5 Renewal. Unless canceled before the renewal date, the subscription automatically renews for the same period.
1.6 Additional storage modules. Storage extensions are paid add-ons billed on the same periodic basis as the main plan unless stated otherwise at purchase.
1.7 User obligations. Users agree to upload only content they are authorized to process, comply with applicable laws, and refrain from illegal platform use.
1.8 Intellectual property. Uploaded content remains the property of the user. Veridic acquires no exploitation rights over works beyond technical processing required for service execution.
1.9 Availability and maintenance. Veridic uses reasonable means to ensure platform availability, with planned maintenance windows and corrective interventions.
1.10 Limitation of liability. Veridic acts as a technical provider. The user remains responsible for legal strategy, uploaded content, and certificate usage in their proceedings.
1.11 Termination. Users may cancel from their account area. Termination takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
1.12 Governing law and jurisdiction. These terms are governed by the law applicable at the publisher’s registered office, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules where applicable.
2. Privacy policy
2.1 Data controller. Veridic determines the purposes and means of processing personal data collected through the platform.
2.2 Data collected. Identification data (name, email), account details, billing data, technical logs, proof metadata, blockchain transaction identifiers, and security events.
2.3 Purposes. Service delivery, authentication, fraud prevention, billing, customer support, product improvement, legal compliance, and evidence retention.
2.4 Legal basis. Contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests (security, service quality), and consent where required.
2.5 Data sharing. Data may be shared with strictly necessary processors (hosting, payment, support). Veridic enforces contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
2.6 Retention. Data is retained for as long as necessary for the described purposes, then archived or deleted in accordance with regulatory obligations and internal retention policy.
2.7 Security. Veridic applies appropriate technical and organizational measures: access control, logging, encrypted transport, and environment hardening.
2.8 Data subject rights. You may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability within the limits of applicable regulations.
2.9 Personal data contact. Personal data requests can be submitted through the support channels published on the site.
2.10 Updates. This policy may evolve to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. The online version prevails.
3. Refund policy
3.1 General principle. As Veridic subscriptions are digital services executed immediately, started billing periods are generally non-refundable unless mandatory law or a contractual exception applies.
3.2 Billing error. In the event of duplicate charges, clear plan errors, or anomalies attributable to Veridic/Paddle, a correction or full/partial refund may be offered after review.
3.3 Major service inoperability. In case of prolonged unplanned downtime preventing normal service use, Veridic may grant credit, period extension, or pro rata refund.
3.4 Storage add-ons. Activated storage add-ons are non-refundable for the current period except in proven technical or commercial error.
3.5 Claim timeframe. Any refund request must be submitted within a reasonable timeframe from the disputed payment, with account details and relevant supporting evidence.
3.6 Processing method. Requests are reviewed case by case. A reasoned decision is communicated through support channels and, when approved, the refund is issued to the original payment method where possible.
